Case Presentation

A 70-year-old man, presented to our OPD with pain and inability to move right shoulder since 7 months post an injury. That was treated by local bone setters. Radiographs showed fracture non-union of the proximal Humerus. Given his age and complexity sof shoulder movements, we decided to perform “Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty”, where we switch the joint surfaces to remove the need for rotator cuff muscle function.

Patient recovered very well moving his shoulder on Day-1 post op. Patient was discharged on Post op Day 1 itself.
